Why did I choose CrossFit?
In the beginning, I was like a lot of people: I just wanted to get back into shape, sweat a bit, clear my head. I'd heard about CrossFit, without really knowing what it was. Then one day, I pushed open the door of a gym. And that's when it hit me.
No machines. No mirrors. Just real movement.
CrossFit is a complete workout: you run, you lift, you jump, you climb, you push, you pull. It's intense, yes. But above all, it's varied, fun and motivating. Every day a new challenge. Every day, an opportunity to do a little better.
What hooked me? The atmosphere.
You train for yourself, but never alone.
There's no judgment here, no unhealthy competition. Everyone encourages each other, from beginners to experts. The coaches are there to accompany you, explain and help you adapt each exercise. Whatever your level, you progress at your own pace.
What does a session look like?
A full hour in a small group, supervised by a coach.
- Start with a dynamic warm-up to prepare the body.
- Then we work on technique or strength (a movement such as squats, pull-ups or deadlifts).
- Then comes the WOD: the day's workout. Short, intense, effective.
- We finish with a return to calm, because we take care of the body too.
CrossFit is more than just sport.
It's a state of mind.
It means learning to surpass yourself.
It means getting out of your comfort zone, a little more every day.
And it's also about laughter, sharing, a real community.
You don't have to be ready to start. You just need to start.
